I’m getting so excited for the Fast. My wife and I are about to celebrate our first year of marriage next week then only a couple of days later the Fast begins.

It’ll only be my second one, but I’m so excited to have this be something we can share in as husband and wife. I learned so much about myself last year and can only anticipate more growth and introspection with this one.

It has been a really amazing and sometimes challenging year and it will be nice to have my early mornings and clear mind to reflect.

I also will always like how it sort of coincides with Lent.

My wife and I have decided we’re going to start studying the Five Year Plan in depth a bit each night. As someone who hasn’t known about the Baha’i Faith all that long it’ll be my first time really doing this. I’m really excited.

Of all the days to start putting together a meditation day, I picked a holy day. I didn’t even realize it until after the fact. Fun coincidence. I’m sure the space will evolve. It’s still much too cluttered, but it smells nice and I’m happy to have it started.

How do you…?

How do you make sure you always have time for prayer, reflection and studying the texts each day?

I struggle with this from time to time and wanted to see if anyone has advice on changing my environment to make sure I get in some reading each day.

Hope anyone impacted by Sandy is safe and those not affected can spare some time to help those who were.
